no easy money

as mom's worried that my old mattress may do more harm than good to my spine, she tagged me along last week to Harvey Norman to pick a new piece; the salesman was called kumar, it seems lotsa people's sharing that name, first it's the drag queen(or king? i kinda disorientated by his appearence), then it's my HFE professor, now it's the salesman; as he told me, 50 bucks for delivery and assured me the movers will dispose the old mattress for us, the deal was closed, happily...

delivery was made yesterday, it turned foul when the malay mover told me that they were not gonna get the old mattress out of my house, unless mom and me were willing to pay him extra 15 bucks; hell no we would, i m strong enough to move that mattress out, but we had paid the money and adequate service of disposing shall be provided, so i protested and told him i would not sign the paper if the mattress was not out, with him...then he lowered the bargain to 10, and i had to repeat myself that kumar had assured me that it was the mover's duty to get that old mattress out of my house..

the malay was smart enough to tell me that it was the issue between kumar and me, so i was given the "advise" from him to resolve the dispute with kumar first by dropping him a call. i m not that dumb, i made a call of course, not to kumar i wouldnt know his number anyway, but the number on the delivery slip, duniopillo mattress company...the lady answered my call showed more politeness than the malay mover that stuck in my house, i described the situation and i told her i'd better be impressed by her explaination why the employee of the company refused to dispose the mattress for us, depsite we had been assured the scopes of service with that 50 bucks; she asked me to give the malay my phone, and transferred him to some higher ranking personnel, apparently he was shocked that i made the "wrong" call; in the end, he backed out and got out of my house with the old mattress; he shall thank me i didnt make things ugly for him, by telling how he bargained with us and would him had been more polite from the moment he entered the house, he would be spared...

make an extortion out of me? get lost before you disgrace yourself
